Michael Jordan's Signed, Game-Worn Sneakers from NBA Title Clinchers Sell for $8M. (article here)
"According to Darren Rovell, the six shoes worn by Jordan in the deciding games of the NBA Finals from 1991 to '93 and 1996 to '98 were auctioned off by Sotheby's after being purchased by a collector from former Bulls public relations director Tim Hallam."
UFC and Fanatics Collectibles have entered into a multiyear partnership granting Fanatics the exclusive rights to produce UFC trading cards. (article here)
“The cards will be produced under the Topps brand, which first owned the exclusive rights to UFC trading cards from 2009 to 2020. Panini America took over the license in 2021, but as Fanatics Collectibles' vice president of global licensing and partner development Kelvin Smith told ESPN, UFC is "coming home."
Panini expands NBA deal to sponsor Rising Stars (article here)
Panini’s sponsorship includes ads and virtual signage within the TNT telecast, along with courtside and other arena signage. Panini will activate by giving Rising Stars card packs to those in attendance, and by launching special cards from the Rising Stars on its Instant platform. market value.

MetaZoo Games Shuts Down (article here)
MetaZoo Games, the publisher of a trading card game which became popular among some collectors during the pandemic, has announced its immediate shutdown. MetaZoo was founded in 2020 as a collectible trading card game that featured art of various cryptids and monsters from folklore. The game grew exponentially during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially after DJ and music producer Steve Aoki became an equity partner in the game
